Wargames Atlantic 10mm Orcs

 Just finished my first sprue of Wargames Atlantic's 10mm Orcs! These are really great hard plastic figures arranged on the sprue for maximum basing flexibility. 

My plan is to use them for Nic Wright's Fantastic Battles system. 

I mainly used Army Painter Speed Paints to on these and they were perfect for the job. 

Check them out! 

The box comes with great plastic bases for units and command. 

Some are heavily armored, others are not. 

I really love the Warg Riders on this sprue. 

The whole sprue arrayed. 

WG is promising Dwarfs and Undead in the near future, and I will be there for both!

    Kind of committed to 15mm scale for mass fantasy (mostly Splintered Light) but it is nice to see more reasonably priced plastics coming out for the genre - even if they're a bit too wee for me.

      Agreed! I have a large collection of painted 15mm sci-fi I used to skirmish with. I love that scale too! I guess with 3D printing, you can have the same minis at varying scales. I wonder if that will be the future? Or the present??

The Return of SuperFigs?

 Well, maybe. The last year or so I have been quietly working with a talented digital sculptor who approached me about redesigning the SuperFigs line as STL files. It's been 24 years since the release of the first SuperFigs, and I just can't believe it.  So he has been slowly beavering away at figures who strike his fancy. And I am content to let the process play out and see where it goes. There's no deadline. No release date. No pressure.  But Eric did send me some test prints last month, and I finally got around to painting them up. Yeah, I make a lot of super games...

     Artwork by Jan Annarella.  I make a lot of super games because I love the genre and I love tinkering with different mechanics and dice systems.  I figure that if you also like super games, one of my rule sets might be for you! That's why a couple of years ago I published the FCS Guide to Super Gaming .
